Getting started
The setup guide on the app’s home page tracks these steps for you.
- Install the app from the Shopify App Store and approve the permissions it asks for.
- Create a pool of codes and choose a code type, which decides the fields each code has, such as a key, a PIN or an expiry date.
- Import your codes from a CSV file or paste them in. The preview flags rows that cannot be read and duplicates before anything is saved.
- Link the pool to the product variant you sell, so every paid order for that variant takes its codes from the pool.
- Review the delivery settings: the sender name, the reply-to address, and how orders that Shopify flags as risky are handled.
- If you want, add the order status block to your thank-you page in the checkout editor.
Common questions
How are codes delivered to my buyers?
When Shopify reports an order as paid, the app takes the right number of unused codes for each linked product and emails them to the address on the order. Depending on how you set up each pool, the codes are either in the email or behind a private link in it. That link expires after 30 days, shows the codes only when the buyer presses a button, and can be used up to 10 times.
What happens if I run out of codes?
The order is never delivered with a missing or repeated code. It waits, and the app delivers it once you add codes to the pool. You can set a low-stock level to get an email before that happens, and the app can keep the variant’s Shopify stock in step with the codes left.
What happens when an order is cancelled or refunded?
If it happens before delivery, no codes are sent and the codes held for that order go back into the pool. Once codes have been sent they are not taken back, because the buyer may already have them: the order is marked as revoked, the private link stops showing the codes, and what to do next is up to you.
Can a buyer get their codes again?
Yes. If you link your store’s order lookup page, a buyer can enter an order number and the email address used at checkout, and the codes are sent again to the email address on that order. The page does not send them anywhere else.
What are the limits of the Free plan?
Free includes 10 delivered orders a month and all core features. It never stops deliveries: if you pass 10 orders, every paid order is still delivered, and we email you when you are close to the limit and again when you pass it. Holding risky orders for review and removing the “Powered by” line need a paid plan.
Is my data safe?
Codes and buyers’ email addresses are encrypted with a key specific to your shop before they are stored. Buyers’ email addresses are erased 90 days after a purchase is finished. The privacy policy lists exactly what we keep and for how long.
How do I change or cancel my plan?
Open Billing in the app and choose a plan. Plans are managed through Shopify, so changes and charges appear on your Shopify invoice, and Shopify stops billing when you uninstall the app.
